The Arts and Engagement Department strives to provide educational programming to all ages and abilities. Focusing on the arts such as theater, music, and art. As well as STEAM, nature and other educational based programming. An Arts and Engagement Teacher is an important part of the Arts and Engagement Department. Responsible for leading classes and engaging with students. Must be able to lead clearly and work with diverse populations. This person will be able to be creative in their position, help create class plans, and events.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certifications:
1. CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment
2. New Staff Orientation and Listen First Training within 90 days of employment
3. Blood Borne Pathogens Training within 30 days of employment
Technical Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Must have experience working with children, and different ability levels.
- Experience in one or multiple of the following areas: art, music, education, dance, STEAM or other programming.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Engage with participants and members
- Help create lesson plans for specific programs as assigned
- Enforce rules and regulations consistently and report any unsafe conditions to Director
- Promote personal growth, leadership, cooperation and diversity
- Ability to teach specific skills such as art, music, Steam, and other programming
- Help with Arts & Engagement events
- Ability to work and teach with all ages and abilities
- Assume all other duties and assignments as deemed appropriate by the Aquatics and Sports Director
