Position Overview for Continuous Improvement Manager:


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Continuous Improvement Manager to lead and implement lean manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement, waste reduction, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement and drive solutions that streamline workflows, enhance product quality, and boost overall productivity.


Key Responsibilities for Continuous Improvement Manager:

  • Implement and lead lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze current production systems to identify inefficiencies, waste, and bottlenecks.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to establish and improve GEMBA walks, safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) across operations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process improvements and operational performance.
  • Provide training and mentoring to staff on lean manufacturing techniques and principles.
  • Support root cause analysis for process and product issues, developing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Design and implement continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovation and operational excellence.
  • Support new product introductions by ensuring lean principles are incorporated into the manufacturing process.
Requirements

 

Qualifications for Continuous Improvement Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in a lean manufacturing role (3+ years preferred) within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean tools and techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex process and production issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software (ERP/MRP systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
