The Exterior Cleaning Crew Leader oversees and executes high-quality cleaning services for residential and commercial properties. This role requires strong leadership, advanced technical skills, and managing and guiding a team while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. As a Crew Leader with SLP, you will ensure that every property is treated with the utmost respect and care and mentor and supervise crew members to uphold the company’s high standards.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery
    • Lead and supervise the exterior cleaning team, ensuring efficient and high-quality service on every job. 
    • Provide exceptional window cleaning, surface washing, and pressure washing services for residential homes and commercial properties, including interior and exterior window cleaning, stain removal, and soft washing for delicate surfaces.
    • Train and mentor new and existing technicians in different window cleaning methods, such as water-fed poles, proper ladder positioning, streak-free squeegee techniques, and pressure-washing best practices for various surfaces.
    • Inspect work quality before completion, ensuring that glass surfaces are free of smudges, frames, and sills are cleaned, and pressure-washed areas are evenly cleaned with no streaking or damage.
    • Manage client relationships on-site, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring excellent customer service during and after each job. 
  • Equipment Management
    • Properly store tools such as squeegees, scrubbers, water-fed poles, and pressure washing wands, clean equipment after each use, and ensure work areas remain organized at the shop and onsite.
    • Perform regular inventory checks to ensure cleaning solutions, detergents, squeegee rubbers, pressure nozzles, rags, and other essential supplies are stocked and in good working condition.
    • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues or challenges with cleaning systems, adjusting techniques as needed to achieve optimal results. 
    • Use ladders, lifts, water-fed pole systems, and pressure washing equipment to safely and effectively clean high and hard-to-reach windows and surfaces.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Oversee safety protocols, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed, including proper ladder techniques, correct handling of hoses to prevent tripping hazards, and appropriate cleaning methods to avoid any damages.
  • Record Keeping
    • Track and document completed jobs, including before-and-after photos of windows, siding, decking, and other cleaned surfaces, while maintaining accurate records of work performed, timesheets, job photos, and crew performance.
    • Thoroughly inspect work areas for any pre-existing damage before starting a job, documenting concerns such as cracked glass, loose frames, pre-existing stains, pre-existing scratching, or fragile surfaces that may be affected by pressure washing.

 

Requirements

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in advanced cleaning techniques, including safe and effective use of cleaning chemicals, high-pressure systems, and window cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Strong communication skills to engage professionally with clients, provide service recommendations, and address concerns effectively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot challenges on-site, adapt cleaning techniques to varying conditions, and make quick, informed decisions to achieve the best results.
  • Capable of handling physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in diverse weather conditions and terrains.
  • A valid driver’s license
  • DOT Medical Certification

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Stand, walk, work for extended periods, and work on wet or uneven surfaces.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Capable of working in various positions, including climbing ladders or working from lifts.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 4:30 PM (Weekends and extended hours as needed)
  • Seasonal end date: 7 months or as determined by operational needs.

Salary Description
$19.00 - $22.25 per hour plus overtime
