Sea-Land is an employee-owned specialty chemical distributor in Cleveland, Ohio. For 60 years, Sea-Land has provided agile, comprehensive, and technology-driven solutions for our customers’ chemical supply, inventory requirements, and product development needs.


The Supply Chain Analyst optimizes inventory to achieve target service levels. This position extracts and manipulates data for day-to-day activity to develop purchase orders, create forecasts, identify challenges, and develop recommendations and solutions to support Supply Chain planning and operations.

    

The position interacts with all levels of the organization internally, communicating externally with supplier partners. The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for taking ownership of assigned supplier inventory through analysis and by collaborating with other departments, as necessary.


This position works a hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days per week in our Cleveland office and 2 days from home.

  • Manage assigned supplier inventory.
  • Identify trends in customer demand data to create supplier purchase forecasts in line with business targets.
  • Process replenishments for suppliers by analyzing historical demand and customer forecasts.
  • Create and process purchase orders in a timely manner verifying cost, delivery, terms, and special requirements consistent with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Manage products and allocations for material in short supply.
  • Manage aging inventory to meet company targets.
  • Receipt inbound material into system with prioritization and expediting as needed.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of ERP information and identify data issues and system gaps.
  • Obtain freight quotes and schedule shipments as needed. 
  • Troubleshoot transactional records to resolve issues.
  • Examine workflow and identify underperforming areas in supply chain, recommend ways to streamline processes and suggest improvements to increase customer satisfaction, and implement improvements.
  • Reply to customer and supplier inquiries and complaints with solutions in a courteous and timely manner.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business and 5 years of experience in Supply Chain

Technical aptitude

Strong analytical skills

Advanced skills in Excel 

Power BI experience preferred

Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work well in a team environment

High degree of organizational skills and multi-tasking capability

Attention to detail and follow through skills

Demonstrated problem-solving skills

Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and ERP/CRM systems
