Philbrook Museum of Art is looking for a friendly, helpful and enthusiastic individual to join the Guest Experience team.
As part of the Guest Experience team, you will provide exceptional service to our guests and demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and professionalism when interacting with Philbrook Members and the public. Philbrook Museum of Art is a vibrant cultural institution in Tulsa, Oklahoma that welcomes approximately 150,000 visitors each year. A 1920s Italianate Villa nestled in 25 acres of designed gardens, the Museum features selections from an actively growing collection of approximately 16,000 objects as well as a dynamic and ambitious program of rotating exhibitions. Philbrook is Oklahoma’s most comprehensive art museum and offers visitors a glimpse into a broad range of cultures, time periods, and perspectives. What You Will Do:
General Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and assist them with planning their visits
- Effective use of the ticketing system and database
- Ticket/membership sales and cash handling
- Communicate information about programmatic offerings and provide in-gallery experience support
- Support ongoing efforts to ensure visitor safety and institutional accessibility and inclusion
- Respond to guest inquiries and complaints and share visitor feedback
Relationship Management:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism
- Share any relevant information with management and other departments to ensure a successful outcome daily
- Build strong relationships with members and coworkers
- Maintain prompt and reliable attendance to successfully perform duties and support the team
What You Will Bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent with combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 6 months customer service experience; preferably in public facing position
Qualifications:
- Commitment to the mission
- Interpersonal skills; friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multi-task and use good judgement
- Be a team player and work well with your coworkers
- Knowledge of general computer applications and basic math skills
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience
- Experience with a computerized cash register system
- Previous non-profit experience with knowledge of Tessitura or other fundraising databases
- Bilingual - Spanish/English fluency
Schedule Information:
- Wednesday through Sunday schedule
- Availability on weekends and occasional evenings
- We are offering 10-15 hours at this time
