We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Human Resources Manager to lead and direct all functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department. This role partners with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals, drive continuous improvement in processes and procedures, and help to foster a positive, productive, and compliant workplace culture.   

This role is based in Richmond, VA, and is a hybrid position.   

  

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand, develop, and execute Chmura’s Human Resource strategies and goals. 
  • Manages and executes the talent acquisition process, including all full-cycle recruitment activities and strategies, and collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions. 
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop consistent communication strategies across Chmura. 
  • Oversees and manages the performance management process. Includes recommendations and guidance for Chmura’s procedures and practices related to employee performance evaluations, training and coaching of managers and employees, and ensuring timelines and objectives are met.  
  • Assist employees with day-to-day inquiries on HR-related matters. 
  • Oversee and conduct employee investigations, disciplinary meetings, and investigations.  
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Paylocity (HRIS), managing system functionality, troubleshooting, and optimizing workflows. 
  •  Manage benefits administration activities, including annual enrollment and coordination with brokers.  
Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive human resources experience as a Generalist or Manager, preferably in a small to mid-sized organization. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment. 
  • Proven working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws. 
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize or delegate as needed. 
  • Hands-on experience with Paylocity (HRIS) or strong proficiency with other HRIS and talent management systems, with a proven ability to quickly adapt to new platforms. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) highly preferred
