Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our client's organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be a dynamic leader with a passion for our mission and a proven track record in nonprofit management. This role demands a strategic thinker with expertise in leadership, fund development, and budget management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategic Direction:
- Provide visionary leadership, setting strategic goals and ensuring the alignment of the organization's efforts with its mission.
- Inspire and lead a dedicated team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization, promoting its mission and programs to various stakeholders.
- Fund Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from diverse sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring effective stewardship and appreciation.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and monitor annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
- Board Relations:
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish and implement organizational policies and strategic plans.
- Inform and engage the board with timely updates and reports on the organization’s operations, financial status, and key issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role within a nonprofit organization.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising and donor development.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budget management and financial reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
