We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Treasury Sales Associate to join our Commercial Banking team. This position will focus on supporting the sales of cash management and treasury products to corporate clients, building relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving growth in the treasury business by identifying client needs, offering tailored solutions, and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of services.
What you’ll spend your time doing:
Sales Support & Relationship Management:
- Assist in the sales process for treasury products and services, including cash management, fraud prevention, payments, and liquidity solutions.
- Act as the first point of contact for corporate clients, building strong, long-lasting relationships to ensure retention and growth.
- Conduct client meetings and presentations, with an emphasis on understanding client needs and presenting customized treasury solutions.
- Work closely with Commercial Bankers to ensure seamless service delivery and to identify new sales opportunities.
Product Knowledge & Expertise:
- Maintain a deep understanding of the bank’s treasury products and services, as well as industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
- Educate clients on product features, benefits, and implementation to maximize their usage of treasury services.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, risk, and compliance) to ensure that the products and solutions offered meet client expectations and regulatory standards.
Proposal Development & Deal Structuring:
- Prepare and deliver proposals, pricing, and contract terms for prospective clients.
- Work with internal teams to structure solutions that meet client needs while ensuring profitability for the bank.
- Support the negotiation and closing process to secure new business.
Market Research & Strategy:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and keep up to date on competitor offerings, market trends, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve departmental revenue and growth targets.
Client Onboarding & Implementation Support:
- Support the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring smooth implementation and integration of treasury services.
- Coordinate with product and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and setup of solutions for clients.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Track sales performance, pipeline, and client satisfaction metrics.
- Provide regular reports to management on sales activity, progress towards goals, and market feedback.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with the bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the risk and compliance teams to assess and mitigate risks associated with treasury product offerings.
- 2-5 years of experience in Treasury Sales, Cash Management, or Corporate Banking. Experience in business development and client relationship management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with corporate treasury products such as payments, fraud prevention, liquidity management, and working capital solutions.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to analyze financial statements, assess client needs, and present tailored solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) or other financial software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to solve client challenges.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality.
