Nature and Scope
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Inside Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team. This role focuses on generating qualified leads and building pipeline within the mid-market segment for our online training and certification solutions. You will be responsible for proactively identifying and engaging potential clients, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the value proposition of our offerings.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Qualification:
- Proactively identify and research potential mid-market prospects through various channels, including company generated leads, LinkedIn, industry events, and online databases.
- Execute outbound prospecting campaigns via phone, email, and text to generate qualified leads.
- Qualify leads based on defined criteria, including company size, industry, needs, and budget.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and interactions in our CRM system.
Pipeline Development:
- Schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations when applicable.
- Nurture leads through targeted communication and follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute effective lead generation strategies.
Market Knowledge & Product Expertise:
- Develop a deep understanding of our online training and certification programs, including their features, benefits, and target audience.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive offerings, and the challenges faced by accounting and financial professionals.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of our solutions to potential clients.
Performance & Reporting:
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation and meeting booking targets.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as call volume, email response rates, and meeting conversion rates.
- Provide regular feedback to the sales and marketing teams on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, business development, or lead generation, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the sales process and lead generation best practices.
