Description

Overview 

As a non-profit ministry of Westminster Theological Seminary, the Westminster Bookstore has been tasked with supplying the church with the best Christian books available–kindergarten through MDiv. We believe that books play a profound role in the life and health of the church and so we take seriously our mission to distribute biblically rich, theologically robust, and pastorally relevant books to God's people. 


The role of the Growth Marketing Specialist is to extend the reach of our ministry. Success in this role will result in a measurable increase in social media followers, eNews subscribers, and customers, ultimately growing total annual revenue.


Responsibilities  

  • Produce engaging videos, graphics, copy, and campaigns that (1) provide value to our followers by communicating the specific benefits gained from reading our favorite books; (2) are highly shareable, organically reaching new customers; (3) effectively compel those who view our content to take action. 
  • Build and execute a comprehensive plan to serve our audience at all levels of the user journey, turning followers into subscribers, subscribers into customers, and customers into repeat customers.  
  • Manage social media platforms to maximize engagement, gain new customers and drive traffic to our website 
  • Evaluate and improve internal website conversion and SEO in collaboration with Associate Director of Operations. 
  • Assist the Events Team in executing strategies that maximize customer acquisition at in person events.
  • Prepare and present reports of key results, measuring and analyzing the success of marketing initiatives, with an eye towards building on what works and proposing solutions for what doesn't. 


Requirements

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Bachelor's degree in art, design, marketing, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant work experience 
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting and presenting key business metrics  
  • Experience managing a marketing calendar and budget 
  • Experience managing social media accounts and email lists 
  • A heart for ministry and a passion to serve the global church through the production and distribution of biblically faithful resources 
  • A strong grasp of Reformed Theology 
  • Creative problem-solver 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Highly organized and able to set and manage priorities 
  • A desire for continuous learning 

 

Additional Details  

As a remote position, you must have access to a productive work space, a computer, and a 

fast and reliable internet connection. Westminster will provide additional tools to enhance 

productivity upon request, in alignment with Westminster's remote work policies. 


Although this position is remote, some travel may be required to attend conferences and in 

person team meetings.


This is a full-time, non-exempt position, with 40 hours per week expected.
