As HR Generalist, you'll drive our people-first initiatives while overseeing workplace safety programs across our growing organization. This role combines traditional human resources leadership with safety oversight, perfect for someone who excels at both employee development and maintaining secure work environments.
Core responsibilities span the full HR spectrum: talent acquisition (first), employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management. You'll also assist with our safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and conducting quarterly safety audits at each location. This position will work alongside the HR Manager as a team.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling twice a year to each location (2 times per year) to support our teams and maintain consistent standards. Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
• Drive full-cycle recruitment including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and new hire onboarding
• Manage employee relations, addressing workplace concerns and fostering a positive work environment
• Assist with HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Assist with performance management processes, including annual reviews and progressive discipline
• Coordinate professional development and training initiatives
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
Safety & Compliance Support:
• Partner with department managers to implement workplace safety programs
• Manage workers' compensation claims from filing through resolution
• Conduct new hire safety orientations and coordinate ongoing safety training
• Participate in safety audits and workplace inspections
• Maintain required safety documentation and records
• Serve as a liaison between employees and management for safety concerns
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and OSHA regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Safety certifications (OSHA 30, CSP) a plus
Work Environment:
• Primary office setting with occasional visits to production areas
• May require periodic travel to different locations
• Ability to move throughout facility to conduct training and assessments
• Regular interaction with employees at all levels of the organization
