This Job Description outlines the basic requirements, duties, and general responsibilities of the  position of Adult Sports 

Coordinator. Unless modified by a written Employment Agreement, this  position is “at-will,” which means the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District (“District”) may  terminate the employment relationship at any time and for no reason, subject only to the  requirements of federal and state law. Similarly, the employee may terminate the employment  relationship without notice at any time for no reason.  Job Summary: Under the guidance of the Aquatics and Community Supervisor, the Adult Sports Coordinator is  responsible for both administrative and program-related duties. The Adult Sports Coordinator serves to support the Aquatics and Community Supervisor in the completion of duties encompassing the full spectrum of the program process including registration, league set up, patron services, and communication and as a program representative. Involvement in each of these duties will vary and will be directed by the Aquatics and Community Supervisor. 


 Essential Functions: The following duties are an overview of the primary duties and responsibilities of the Adult Sports  Coordinator and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. 

A. Create, organize, and supervise adult league programs; assist with registration; train coaches; officiate games when needed, coordinate meetings, order equipment and uniforms; schedule  games. 

B. Work with the Aquatics and Community Supervisor and to develop a comprehensive marketing  plan for recreation and league activities. This plan should include detailed program  descriptions, website content, communication strategies and channels, as well as the creation  and distribution of promotional materials 

C. Perform all necessary administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to phone calls,  emails, , registration, and other program-related duties. 

D. Oversee the procurement of supplies needed for adult sports, including equipment and  uniforms, while adhering to the allocated budget1. 

E. Consistently promotes a positive, professional image of the district and always provides excellent customer service. 

F. Serves as the sole representative for the Ken-Caryl Ranch at scheduled program dates. G. Ability to lead program planning, implementation, and operation. 

Requirements

 Required Experience: 

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

 2. Experience managing sports programming or experience that has provided the knowledge,  skills, and abilities necessary for excellent job performance. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 1. Knowledge of maintaining efficient and successful sports programming. 

2. Reliable, natural problem solver, and makes appropriate decisions in a high-energy environment.

 3. Ability to work a schedule that will include evenings, early mornings, weekends and as conditions or programming schedules might dictate.

 4. Possess excellent communication and guest service skills.

 5. Be highly organized, and punctual, and demonstrate compassion and patience.

 6. Effective and clear written and oral communicator with a variety of audiences including patrons,  staf,f and the community. 

7. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at a level adequate to perform the job.

 8. Working in a variety of locations and sometimes in challenging weather conditions.

 9. Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and goals of the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan  District. 

10. Develop and maintain relationships with District employees, volunteers, sponsors, and the community.


 Special Requirements:

 1. Possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License and be insurable by the District’s insurance carrier by maintaining an acceptable driving record.

 2. Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and can quickly learn other software. 


Work and Physical Requirements: This position requires work both in the office and in the field. 

OFFICE ENVIRONMENT: This position requires work in a variety of locations and conditions, including but not limited to the District’s parks and recreational facilities, and other similar inside and outside work areas. A substantial portion of this position will involve sedentary, administrative work in an office environment. 

FIELD ENVIRONMENT: Working Environment 1. Moderate physical activity will be required frequently. 2. Work will be required outdoors in all weather conditions. 3. Work may be required under hazardous and adverse conditions, including, but not limited to, slippery and uneven surfaces and proximity to moving mechanical equipment. 4. Use of sensory activities, such as talking, seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling (identifying objects by touch), depth perception and color vision will be required frequently. 5. Work will involve periods of high physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. 

Physical Requirements 

1. Have the ability to lift, move, and carry objects more than fifty (50) pounds frequently.

 2. Have the ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, squat, push, pull, crawl, jump,  slide, climb, pinch, grip, reach overhead, reach away from the body, and perform repetitiv  motions.

 3. Be able to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed. 

4. Must be able to work on average 5- hours a week
