Summary

We are seeking a Cashier who will greet customers, treat them with respect, and manage all transactions accurately and efficiently. Because our Dining Facility is on Base, the Cashier accepts payment and tracks meals through ID and meal cards as required. Customer service is very important to success in this role. A Cashier must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and pass an National Agency Background Check (NAC). 

Cashier Job Responsibilities 

• Maintains Cashier’s booth with supplies and keeps it clean
• Greets customers and obtains their ID, Meal Cards, signed forms, and/or payment as required
• Records total number served for each meal and turns in required records 
• Turns in cash with records to manager at the end of serving period
• Updates menu board for the following day

• Able to pass an National Agency Background Check (NAC) to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
• Reads, writes, and understands English and reporting requirements
