Event Staffing Manager

Saz’s Hospitality Group is seeking an Event Staffing Manager to join our Catering team, working out of our Walkers Point office in Milwaukee, WI. As a key leader in our catering division, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring every event is fully and seamlessly staffed, contributing to the exceptional experiences our guests have come to expect.


This is a full-time, salaried position offering a competitive wage based on experience, plus a bonus structure. The schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday, with some on-call availability outside of business hours to address staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Event Staffing Manager

  • Manage schedules for all catering positions, including servers, bartenders, event managers, event supervisors, catering ambassadors, and temporary staff
  • Communicate schedules to employees and ensure 100% shift coverage through effective use of scheduling software
  • Promptly address call-offs, emergency staffing changes and schedule conflicts as they occur in real-time
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping for catering staff, by recording and correcting any missing hours or punches as needed 
  • Support the training program by ensuring training shifts progress as planned and that trainers are scheduled for the appropriate events
  • Participate in management meetings to address issues, share insights, and collaborate on new ideas within the company 
  • Provide on-site support at major events or during high-volume weekends
Requirements


Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's scheduling systems

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in the service industry, leading teams, and/or handling administrative tasks in a high-volume environment

Physical Requirements: 

  • Stand or sit up to 8 hours at a time
  • Lift up to 10 lbs to chest level
