Job Summary:
As a member of the Hacienda Spa team, the Pool Attendant plays an integral role in representing the Los Poblanos brand and our unique well-being model. This position will enrich the guest experience by connecting guests to our historic property and organic farm through spa and wellness services. The Pool Attendant is responsible for providing excellent service to guests in the pool area by delivering food and beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role requires a friendly and attentive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promptly welcome and acknowledge guests by name
- Provide orientation tour of the pool facility, explaining pool/spa amenities and answering guests’ questions
- Present menus, providing a detailed description of available food & beverage options
- Prepare and deliver food and beverage orders promptly and accurately
- Actively build a rapport with guests to understand the nature of their stay, allowing us to anticipate their needs and create a customized experience
- Walk all assigned areas throughout the shift; remove dirty towels, pick up trash, and service trays
- Issue and restock pool linen and supplies to ensure proper inventory levels
- Set up and/or break down the pool area daily
- Maintain a safe, clean, stocked, and well-organized environment
- Assist in facilitating guest activities and seasonal offerings at the pool
- Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures
- Strive to create a personalized experience for every guest
- Foster a work environment of teamwork and mutual service by assisting coworkers and other departments as necessary to exceed our guest’s expectations
- Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and courteously
- Actively promote spa treatments, wellness offerings, promotions, and general property information
- Develop an ability to work without constant direct supervision
- Regularly attendant and participate in spa trainings and meeting
- Follow the opening and closing checklist as assigned by management
- Be on time for scheduled shifts and uphold a good attendance record
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of wellness classes
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management

- Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention immediately
- Act as a positive role model and ambassador for Los Poblanos, its employees, and the community
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the property
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 25 lb. and perform physically demanding tasks
- Work varying shifts such as nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have 2+ years of customer service experience
- Must have an alcohol server license
- Must be 21+ years old
- Understanding of and enthusiasm for the LP well-being model
- Provide the highest standards for professionalism, hospitality, and collaboration
- Possess an appreciation for Los Poblanos’ unique setting on an organic farm with all Inn, Spa, Shop, and Restaurant patrons on the property at any given time
