JOB DESCRIPTION   / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


As a Field   Service Engineer, one will perform on site field service support for   scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on the SPS-75 and SPS-80   radar systems. Field Service Engineers   provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of Company technical radar systems. Our team provides   expertise for the resolution of technical problems and troubleshoots naval   and coast guard radar systems.  Application   of diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and   implement repairs is essential. Up to  60% CONUS and OCONUS travel will be required.

 REMOTE POSTION - TRAVEL REQUIRED   


ESSENTIAL DUTIES   AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· Provides on-site troubleshooting of SPS-75 and   SPS-80 radar systems, including testing and diagnostics.

· Study and review of technical manuals and   publications for the purpose of on-site application.

· Replaces defective components and installs   components, kits, and consumable parts.  

· Provides training and technical expertise to   customers, including consultative assistance during off hours as needed.

· Implements software upgrades as updates are made by   the OEM.

· Prepares and publishes engineering reports at the   end of each on-site visits, detailing diagnostic readings, summary actions, and recommendations. 

 

KEY MEASURES OF   SUCCESS

 

· Proficiency and understanding of the function of each SPS-75 and SPS-80 major component and most common troubleshooting   steps.   

· >95% successful diagnosis of radar faults and recommendation of appropriate corrective action.

· Timely response (within 24 hours) to customer requests for consultative assistance.

· No engineer related negligence/damage to customer equipment.

· No safety incidents resulting in personal injury.

· 100% accountability of repair parts and tools/equipment.

 

Requirements

     

REQUIRED   QUALIFICATIONS

 

· 10+ years of experience in ISR repair on   maintenance with a strong preference for experience with Navy/CG radar   systems.

· Experience with the SPS-75 or SPS-80 preferred.

· Ability to use testing and diagnostic tools,   including multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Peak Power Meters and other equipment;   acumen to analyze results and draw conclusions.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to   administer troubleshooting steps as outlined in technical manuals.

· Understanding of radar software and its interface   with hardware and RDCs.

· Ability to effectively communicate and understand   complex engineering concepts.

· Microsoft Office Suite experience.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must have a Secret Security Clearance.

Valid Passport.

Must be a US Citizen.

Must have a clean driving record and ability to   travel within the US.

Must be willing to work in both a maritime and   shipyard environment.

Must be willing to attend tower climbing   certification program
