Description
A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) is seeking a part-time non-exempt On-Site Rotation Coordinator at the Jefferson City location. The individual in this position is responsible for assisting in facilitating KCOM clinical curriculum (years 3 and 4) and to provide administrative support in the region as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Frequent communication with off-site coordinator, physician DSME, and students to schedule rotations, monitor paperwork and assessment documentation, and student schedules.
- Schedule local rotations and ensure needed paperwork is complete.
- Utilize the University electronic tracking program to maintain accurate rotation and student information.
- First line communication to assist students with schedules, questions, concerns, problems at the base site.
- Schedule local rotations and assist in development of overall student schedules in conjunction with the off-site coordinator.
- Utilize the University identified electronic tracking program to maintain accurate rotation and student information as appropriate.
- Maintain database of active preceptors for medical students.
- Assist in planning of Education Day activities.
- Schedule and proctor student exams.
- Monitor student progress and audits.
- Provide off-site coordinator with assessment documents.
- Participate in monthly Zoom online session meetings with the main campus and all coordinators.
- Maintain current contact list of students (address, telephone, etc.).
- Provide a list of active preceptors for the annual recognition project.
- Generate reports related to the site assigned to the students as needed.
- Provide site specific information for campus publications (site guide, surveys, etc.).
- Assist with student site tours, orientation, annual site visit.
- Attend the annual conference held in Kirksville as available.
Requirements
- Four year college degree preferred.
- One to two years related experience.
- Individual must be detail oriented.
- Accurate typing and computer skills.
- Must work well with others in a team environment.
- Must be comfortable working with computers, data entry, generating reports, and telephone work.
- Requires skills in communication, organization, problem solving, decision making, professionalism, and time management.
