We are currently seeking a Senior Vendor/Procurement Manager who will oversee  vendor contracts and procurement processes for Illinois DMV projects. DMV operations involve third-party software, hardware providers, and service contracts that must comply with state and federal procurement regulations. This role will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, ensuring contract compliance, and driving cost-effective procurement strategies to support ongoing DMV initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with Illinois state procurement regulations and state financial policies.
  • Monitor vendor performance and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and pricing to maximize value.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related escalations and issue resolution.
  • Develop reporting frameworks to evaluate contract performance and financial impact.
  • Manage competitive bidding processes and contract renewals.
  • Maintain detailed procurement records for audits and compliance reviews.
Requirements
  • 5+ years in vendor management or procurement, with at least 3 years in a government or regulated environment.
  • Strong background in contract law and compliance.
  • Experience managing complex multi-vendor ecosystems.

Skills & Expertise

  • Expertise in contract negotiation and performance management.
  • Familiarity with Illinois state procurement regulations.
  • Proficiency in procurement and contract management platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ariba).
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • CPM or similar procurement certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with government agencies, particularly state-level departments.
  • Knowledge of DMV-specific operational needs and vendor relationships.
Salary Description
$50-$65 per hour
