Job Summary
The 2nd Shift Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating second-shift operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to company standards. This role includes overseeing team performance, maintaining a productive work environment, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the 2nd shift team, promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to team members to foster growth and skill development.
- Coordinate job scheduling with the 1st Shift Production Supervisor to meet customer demands.
- Review job requirements with employees to ensure clear understanding of tasks and expectations.
- Inspect and approve job set-ups to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Schedule and manage overtime, obtaining approval from the VP of Operations while ensuring compliance with labor regulations.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to uphold consistency and quality standards.
- Monitor and request necessary supplies to maintain workflow and adhere to inventory protocols.
- Review daily time sheets for accuracy and completeness.
- Review and approve paid time off requests for 2nd shift employees.
- Address and respond to quality issues related to second-shift operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize personnel allocation.
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment, addressing hazards or concerns promptly.
- Conduct and deliver performance evaluations for team members.
- Operate equipment as needed based on skill level and production demands.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position holds supervisory responsibilities for all 2nd shift operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and applicable laws.

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

- Capable of effectively presenting information to customers, clients, and colleagues.
Mathematical & Reasoning Skills:
