We are a $573M Illinois Community Bank seeking an energetic, motivated Accredited Farm Manager to lead and direct Professional Farm Management Services Department and to oversee portfolio of North Central Illinois farmland properties.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate regularly with farmland owner clients, farm operators, contractors, accountants, attorneys, and others to accomplish client farm ownership goals
• Prepare Farm Operating Plans, including but are not limited to the following:
o Crop selection & crop rotation plans
o Soil Test Scheduling and development of Farm Fertility Plans
o Crop seed evaluation and planting populations
o Herbicide selection/ Fungicide selection/ Insecticide selection
• Negotiate, Prepare & Sign Farm Leases on farmland owner client's behalf:
o 50/50 Crop Share leases
o Custom Farming operating agreements
o Cash Rent Leases
o Hybrid/ Variable Cash Rent Leases
• Secure Various Insurance policies on behalf of farmland owner clients
o Liability insurance/Fire & Extended Coverage Insurance/ Multi-Peril Crop Insurance
• Coordinate and cooperate with various USDA agencies on behalf of farmland owner clients
o Apply/Sign contracts for USDA PLC/ARC Farm Program
o Apply/Sign contracts for USDA Conservation Reserve Program contracts
• Remain updated concerning various aspects of Professional Farm Management by attending regular Illinois Society of Professional Farm Manager & Rural Appraiser meetings.
• Monitor and analyze commodity markets on a daily basis to remain informed and be able to take action concerning marketing of farmland owner client's grain
• Developing Farm Budgets
o Annual Income & Expense Budgets
o Annual Cash Flow Budgets
o Income Distribution Budgeting
o Capital Project Budgeting for long-term farm improvements
• Manage Farm Management staff
• Delegate multiple projects/duties to highly competent Professional Farm Management Staff.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics, Farm Business
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as Professional Farm Manager or related Financial Officer in Farm Industry business
• Excellent oral and writing communication skills
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and cooperate as part of a team
• Ability to delegate various responsibilities to Farm Management Assistants
• Serve as Assistant Trust Officer within banking business
• Serve as Secretary-Treasurer of family-owned grain storage facility
