Nuwellis, Inc. is a medical device company dedicated to transforming the lives of patients suffering from fluid overload with its Aquadex SmartFlow ultrafiltration therapy.


We are seeking a Full-Time Account Manager in Medical Device Sales to support the western region of the United States. Major cities include Chicago, Minneapolis and Phoenix with many additional cities in the territory. Looking for a candidate who resides in a hub city such as Chicago, Minneapolis or Phoenix with the ability to travel to additional parts of the western region.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive business growth by increasing the prescriber base, expanding into new therapeutic areas and close new business.
  • Utilize value-based selling messaging to achieve sales revenue targets.
  • Develop physician and prescribing clinician understanding of all relevant clinical data.
  • Identify potential patients for our products in alignment with Healthcare Provider (HCP) needs.
  • Conduct business reviews and engaging product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our offerings.
  • Lead and collaborate effectively with Clinical Education Specialists, providing direction, support and adapting to changes on the fly.
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Business Administration or scientific discipline and 3 years of related medical device experience.
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.
  • Possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • 3 years of experience in medical device sales, medical device market development (devices), Cardiology, Cardio-Renal, Cardiac Surgery and/or Structural Heart and/or Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of experience collaborating with cross functional clinical partners and customers in a disruptive selling environment.
  • 3 years of experience successfully navigating the VAC (Value Analysis) process.
  • Demonstrated ability to discuss pathophysiology of patients in multiple areas such as Heart Failure, Transplant, Cardiac Surgery, VAD, Critical Care, Trauma, Renal, Burn, Interventional Cardiology, Pediatrics, CRRT, ECMO, Liver Failure, Sepsis, Vascular access, including having clinical conversations with healthcare professionals in these specialties.
  • Understand and demonstrate proficiency in core technologies and sales tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

  • The Account Manager (AM) is expected to maintain regular physical presence at customer sites.
  • Up to 75%+ travel required. Travel involves regular daily driving commutes to and from customer sites as well as domestic plane travel and frequent overnights.

*Compensation for this position includes base salary of $100,000, plus commission, car allowance, and a comprehensive benefit package.
