Stratacomm seeks a talented production designer to join its growing team. This position will support a team of graphic and digital designers and art directors in executing and refining marketing assets. This role contributes to the design and production of various creative projects with a focus on production, file preparation, management and archiving, and ensuring consistency across both digital and print deliverables. A successful candidate will be able to collaborate across all teams at Stratacomm to deliver exceptional creative assets.


The ideal candidate will be proficient in production tasks, understand the technical requirements of file preparation, and have expertise in print production processes. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to efficiency and organization are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for both design and the technical aspects of production. Experience with B2B marketing and/or transportation or shipping/logistics industries preferred.


 Some of what you will do throughout the day:


Support for Design & Art Direction:

• Assist a team of designers and art directors in the creation and execution of design assets across digital and print channels.

• Build rapport and credibility with clients by understanding their business and branding requirements.

• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure consistency in design and branding across multiple platforms.

• Help maintain a high standard of quality and efficiency in all production-related tasks.

• Demonstrate good judgment, strategic thinking, and creativity, and provide superb attention to detail.


Digital File Management & Production:

• Prepare, optimize and archive digital files for various platforms, ensuring all files are organized and stored properly.

• Support the team in creating organized file structures for various design projects, both digital and print.

• Assist with pre-press checklists and file prep for print and digital output.


Print Production Support:

• Assist with the preparation of print-ready files, ensuring they meet mechanical setup requirements and are compatible with various print processes.

• Collaborate with the team on print production tasks, including creating print-ready PDFs, coordinating with pre-press vendors and managing file versions.


File Preparation & Archiving:

• Prepare and configure assets for digital use, ensuring they meet all technical requirements for websites, social media and other digital channels.

Requirements


• Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum 3 years of extensive experience in a creative production role, either in-house or with an agency.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro).

• Experience working in a high volume, deadline-driven, collaborative team environment with exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Experience with file preparation, optimization, and digital asset management.

• Highly organized team player with effective time management and prioritization skills. 

• Knowledge of print production processes and preparing files for print production (print-ready PDFs, pre-press, etc.).

• Ability to remain cool under pressure, manage multiple projects and deadlines, without sacrificing quality.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure consistency across all deliverables.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with designers, art directors and client services counterparts.

• Honesty, integrity and a commitment to the highest professional standards. 

• Transportation, shipping/logistics and/or B2B experience preferred.
