Description: Assistant Branch Manager reports directly to the Branch Manager. They will work closely with the Branch Manager to manage all phases and functions of the branch. This role will be directly responsible for managing, directing, coaching and training of the teller line. They will also assist members with all facets of loan processing/account opening and support the branch in all departments when needed. Assumes responsibility for supervision of the branch office and staff during the absence of the manager. 


Responsibilities:

· Promotes Branch harmony, advances the organization culture within the branch.

· Processes and closes consumer loans and/or opens new member accounts.

· Assist all departments within the branch when needed.

· Assists manager of the branch in formulating plans and strategies furthering growth.

· Participates in hiring and training of new and current employees.

· Supervises all branch activities when the Branch Manager is out of the office.

· Brand Ambassador, true example of our core values.

· Attends Community events to help build relationships within the local community.

· Builds and develops strong relationships within the organization.

· Follows direction well, welcomes feedback and can take over branch operations at any given moment.

· Assist with scheduling, timecard approval, budgeting, performance reviews and growth of the branch.


Qualifications:

· 3-5 years of similar or related experience in a financial institution, bachelor’s degree in management or related field preferred

· Excellent member service address complex member issues, with the highest degree of professionalism and accuracy.

· Strong interpersonal, leadership and coaching abilities.

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, act decisively and is a problem solver.

· Ability to step into any position or circumstance within the branch.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail, able to give and receive feedback from others.

· Initiative for personal growth and development

Requirements
  • Able to operate a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard.
  • Courtesy, tactful, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
  • A two-year college degree or (2) completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
