Mid-Level Desk Specialist

Primary Location: Quantico, VA

Must be a U.S Citizen

Security Clearance: Secret

Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Mid-Level Help Desk Specialist to provide customer focused technical support. The chosen candidate will interact directly with users on multiple network enclaves to assist in providing continuity of services when issues arise. 

The mission of the MSTP is to: Train and Educate Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) and Marine Expeditionary Brigades (MEB) Command Elements to conduct operations across the range of military operations, within the context of a Joint, Combined, or Coalition environment.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier I and Tier II support. 
  • Perform troubleshooting of capabilities beyond the tier-1.
  • Maintain network operations, installation, and training instructions. 
  • Integrate real-time services, to support collaboration between multiple sites and organizations.
  • Periodically perform system updates and function tests to ensure equipment is operational.
  • Maintain Remedy or enterprise solutions per established processes and procedures.
  • Manage and process System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR) for all networks.
  • Perform equipment issue and recovery.
  • Maintain property accountability inventories and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain functional and technical reference models, requirements, and systems.  
  • Assist users in operating Audio/Visual equipment and Video Teleconference systems.


Requirements

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Maintain DOD Cyber Security Workforce 8140 IAT Level I certification.
  • Microsoft Active Directory user and object management.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 suite, TEAMS, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Basic system and network troubleshooting skills

Desired Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent w/ 3 Years Direct Relevant Experience
  • Proficiency using with IT Service Management systems (i.e., Remedy) and associated workflows.
  • Experience with Purebred Mobile device key management 
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Normal Office Environment 
  • Able to lift computer equipment up to 50lbs.

Travel

  • 15-35%, occasional travel to Camp Pendleton, CA; Camp Lejeune, NC; or Okinawa, Japan
