Building Superintendent/Manager
Description

The Building Superintendent/Manager is responsible for all maintenance required on the assigned property, including all work done by contractors. The Maintenance Supervisor position is also responsible to making sure work is completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

The Building Superintendent/Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and providing maintenance and repairs
  • Handles all service calls within a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the tenant
  • Ensures a clean and safe environment for the tenants, staff members, and visitors in all areas of the community
  • Inspects work performed by subcontractors such as cleaning companies and flooring installers
  • Visits tenants and submits building walkthrough report monthly
  • Communicates with office manager to stock the building with day to day supplies and informs City Manager of supply and equipment needs
  • Daily communication with the office manager on job progress and supply needs
  • Reports to management upon job completion or when problems/discrepancies occur
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area 
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying particular attention to health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently is a must
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must have basic computer skills, including email and video conferencing
