Requirements

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves processing transactions, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record and update financial transactions in the accounting system
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts
  • receivable
  • Process invoices, managing payments to vendors, and collecting payments from clients
  • Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and
  • information
  • Adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
  • Perform various administrative tasks related to accounting and finance

Required Knowledge/Skills/ Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and practices
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and work under pressure in a demanding
  • environment.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy with data entry
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines


Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • FLSA executive and professional positions paid on a salary basis, where project
  • requirements and tight client deadlines may require workweeks over 40 hours (including weekends or holidays).
  • Work is normally conducted in an office environment setting with no exposure to excessive heat, cold, or noise.
  • Significant desk work on a computer
  • Lifting requirements of thirty-five (35) pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards.
