The School Bus Driver will report to the Head of School/Principal/CEO and will complete but is not limited to the following duties:

• Obey all traffic laws. Observes all mandatory State of NJ Regulations for School Buses.
• Maintain discipline when students are on the bus. Reports disciplined issues to the proper administrative personnel.
• Keeps assigned bus clean.
• Keeps to the assigned bus schedule,
• Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects and maintains all required paperwork.
• Notify the proper administrative personnel in case of mechanical failure and lateness.
• Check bus after every run for students and/or items,
• Pick up/ Requirements:
• Discharge students only at authorized bus stops.
• Exercise responsible leadership when on district school trips,
• Transports only authorized students,
• Report all accidents and complete required reports.
• Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.
• Performs such duties as may from time to time be assigned.
• Supporting the philosophy and vision of The Newgrange School.
• Performing related duties as assigned.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A valid NJ Class B, CDL License with endorsements.
• Good health and sufficient vitality to perform duties assigned.
• Demonstrated aptitude for assigned responsibilities.
• Clean driving record.
• Minimum of three (3) years of previous safe driving experience.
• Three (3) years of experience operating a school bus or commercial vehicle.
• NJDOE Fingerprints Required.
