What You'll Do:
In the Site Supervisor role, you’ll oversee the Abraham and Lillian Turk Recuperative Care Center that provides housing to vulnerable individuals experiencing homelessness through the Recuperative Care Program and California Advancing and Innovating MediCal (CalAIM) Short-Term Post-Hospitalization Housing Program and Emergency Shelter. These programs are an expansion of the agency sheltering services to help individuals achieve a more adaptive level of physical, psychological, and social functioning. Responsible for contract compliance, supervises staff, and performs related work as required supporting the mission of Interfaith Community Services. The following duties and responsibilities are those considered to be essential but do not represent all job functions that may be required to be performed by this position. Other comparable duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Oversee the Abraham and Lillian Turk Recuperative Care Center property
- Supervise all property inventory and maintenance needs
- Provide leadership to several program staff
- Conduct meetings and trainings to ensure program compliance and to enhance staff skills
- Maintain compliance within program daily documentation
- Attend and participates in program, agency and community meetings and trainings as needed
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clients
- Working knowledge and skills in mental health, co-occurring disorders, substance abuse treatment models, and crisis intervention
- Coordinate and provides support to interns and volunteers including resource dissemination
- Handles difficult crisis situations and resolve any issues that arise
- Monitor client activity and overall program progress
- Work closely with departments within the agency to best meet the needs of clients
- Monitor and conduct client intakes to the programs as needed
- Supervise staff, participate in hiring and conducting performance evaluations
- Provide resources and support to staff and clients
- Assists with program development, compliance, reports and billing
- Ability to work independently and professionally at partnering agencies, faith centers and other community settings
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Who You Are:
You're passionate about making a lasting impact, whether supporting individuals directly or enhancing our organizational effectiveness. To thrive in this role, you'll:
- High School Diploma, required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field with two (2) or more years of experience in a supervisory role or increasing responsibility, preferred (Experience may substitute degree requirements)
- Master’s Degree, preferred
- Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the Company’s insurance carrier standards.
SKILLSETS / ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of “Housing First” strategies and low-barrier shelters model
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clients
- Ability to identify problems, and research and recommend solutions
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of program internal audit procedures, grant writing, and budgeting
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple deadlines and working effectively under pressure, using independent judgment to complete work under time constraints
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple staff, and working with a collaborative team to drive successful projects to completion
- Ability to make formal and public presentations
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems as well as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate effectively among a diverse workforce population and maintain sound working relations with all levels within the organization
- Work with spirit of enthusiasm, teamwork, cooperation and a sense of urgency
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality over all matters in the course of business operations including client and employee information
- Ability to multi-task in an efficient, thorough, and prioritized manner
- Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to perform work in both indoor and outdoor settings
- May be subjected to adverse conditions, including contact from hostile people
- Exposure to contagious diseases (hepatitis, HIV, tuberculous, etc.)
- Exposure to unpleasant and noxious fumes, odors, dust, temperatures, noise and inclement weather
- Must have the physical ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, bend, kneel and
- uses hands, arms and legs for dexterity and balance on a frequent basis
- Occasionally lifts, carries and balances objects weighing up to 30 pounds
- Pulls and pushes such objects as file drawers, computers and similar office equipment and supplies
- Prioritizes and multi-tasks work and projects requiring good memory, concentration and analytical thinking
- Occasionally is required to perform the safe operation of a vehicle, office equipment and machines, and recognize and abate safety hazards within the workplace
- Must be able to hear, see (including distinction of colors), read and communicate verbally and in writing frequently with a wide range of people from divergent socioeconomic backgrounds and origins
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low
Location: On-Site/Escondido
Hourly Rates: $27.00-$31.00 ($1.00 Shift differential)
Hours:
10:00pm-7:00am (Wednesday-Sunday)
12:00pm-9:00pm (Tuesday-Saturday) or (Monday-Friday)
