Description
- Review and verify loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Non-QM guidelines and company policies.
- Perform audits on closed loan files, ensuring all conditions are satisfied before authorizing fund disbursement.
- Authorize the release of funds to title or escrow companies once all closing conditions are met.
- Collaborate with underwriting, processing, and external parties to resolve discrepancies or issues in loan documentation.
- Ensure loan documents meet regulatory and legal compliance standards prior to funding.
- Maintain accurate records of loan files and funding transactions, ensuring timely upload of documents into the Loan Origination System (LOS).
- Provide clear and timely updates to internal teams, borrowers, and title companies on the loan status and funding timelines.
- Set up wires for loan disbursements and reconcile warehouse lines daily to ensure accurate transactions.
- Assist with clearing prior-to-funding conditions and ensuring all documentation is complete before disbursement.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry trends to improve funding processes and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan closing, funding, or post-closing, with a focus on Non-QM loans.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in finance, business, real estate, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently and accurately under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to resolve issues independently and collaborate effectively with teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Loan Origination Systems (LOS) or similar software.
- Familiarity with wire setup, loan disbursement, and reconciliation processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements, particularly in the Non-QM space.
