SUMMARY:


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


1.  Provides daily direction and communication to team members so that customer inquiries, orders, 

billing, collections or other applicable departmental priorities are handled in a timely, efficient 

and knowledgeable manner.

2.  Engages in ongoing evaluation of processes and procedures. Suggests methods to improve area 

operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers.

3.  Completes performance management activities as required by the department manager; may include 

call monitoring, production audits, side-by-sides, reporting, etc.

4.  Provides statistical and performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis to each team 

member. Maintains the confidentiality of team member performance metrics unless otherwise allowed 

by common departmental practice (i.e., posting individual statistics)

5.  Ensures employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs. 

Communicates training or resource challenges to the department manager.

6.  Escalates disciplinary needs, ongoing performance issues and/or employee relations concerns to 

the department manager for appropriate action based on company policy and procedure. May serve as a 

witness in the delivery of disciplinary action.

7.  Maintains a high-quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their 

highest level.

8.  Assists the manager with daily operation of the department to include the development, analyses 

and implementation of staffing, training, scheduling and daily


productivity. Shares continual responsibility for deciding how to manage the employees, ensuring 

work is handled efficiently and effectively.

9.  Maintains a high level of process knowledge, personal work quality, and daily work production 

according to departmental expectations.

10. Works as a member/leader of any special or ongoing projects that are important to process 

improvement, departmental goals and company success.

11. Partners with the department manager and co-leaders to establish work procedures and processes 

that support the company and departmental standards, procedures and strategic directives.

12. Uses appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department or employee concerns, 

process needs, service issues, and any other topic the manager should be made aware of.

13. Other duties as assigned by the Manager.


POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are scheduled Monday through Friday, with 

shifts as determined by manager to meet department coverage needs.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.





This position supervises the day-to-day work of all team members including production, work 

quality, coaching, and counseling but is not responsible for hiring, discipline, or termination of 

employment.





This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard 

office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.





The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to 

successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is typically required to sit; frequently stands, occasionally required to climb or 

balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 

pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close and distance vision, color and 

peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
