Development Operations Assistant

Texas Biomed is searching for a Development Operations Assistant to join our team reporting to the Development Operations Manager. This position will perform gift processing, acknowledgement duties as well as administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations in the Development Department. 


The Role

  • Perform data entry for all Development donations in Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring accurate and updated contact information and collateral entry. 
  • Assist Development Operations Manager in ensuring proper coding of all donor acknowledgments and monthly reconciliation with Finance. 
  • Assist with pulling queries and merging letters for all donor acknowledgment needs, making edits as needed for proper stewardship and accurate IRS acknowledgments. 
  • Assist with any Development Operations reporting and database coding needs as directed. 
  • Assist Development Operations Manager with overall department budget tracking process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date files, records, and documentation for the department.
  • Input and manage the purchasing requisition process for Development department and reconcile bills, subscriptions and contracts.
  • Provide general support by printing, collating, scanning, filing, running errands, maintaining/ordering office supplies, coordinating mail needs.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of administrative experience required. 
  • Experience in gift processing/donor management for development/non-profit fundraising preferred.
