Description

  

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled experienced Paramedic to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will provide and assist in the emergency treatment of patients within the ER setting. As a Paramedic in the ER, you will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver urgent care and ensure the safety and well-being of patients during critical situations.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency medical care to patients in the ER, including assessment (excluding triage assessment), stabilization, and treatment.
  • Perform advanced life-saving interventions, including airway management, CPR, medication administration, and defibrillation.
  • Work closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide ongoing care for critically ill or injured patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments (excluding triage assessments) , monitor vital signs, and document medical histories and treatments accurately.
  • Assist with the preparation of patients for diagnostic tests, surgeries, or other procedures as required.
  • Manage and maintain medical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies within the hospital, including trauma and code situations.
  • Provide patient and family education on health issues and procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and follow all hospital protocols and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with medical advancements and attend training to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to learn and manage Electronic Health Record Documentation per requirements
Requirements

  

Qualifications:

Current state certification as a Paramedic required

Valid CPR and ACLS certification required

Proven experience as a Paramedic with at least 3 years of experience preferred

Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures, techniques, and equipment.

Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in high-stress situations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with medical teams and provide patient care.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting patients and medical equipment.

Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25lbs.

Requires occasional pushing and pulling up to 50lbs.

  

Preferred:

Experience in a hospital ER setting or with emergency medical services (EMS).

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.

ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification

Critical care training or experience is a plus.
