Printer Operator (ME) 2nd Shift
Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us in our Portland, ME facility as a Printing Operator for the 3:30-11:30 (2nd) shift. This fast-paced role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys the satisfaction of producing high-quality printed materials. 

  • Operate Canon laser, Riso inkjet, and Canon mono printing equipment (experience preferred)
  • Operate Laminating machine, Standard Die Cutter, and Cutter.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Set up and operate printing machines efficiently.
  • Monitor printing jobs for quality and accuracy.
  • Perform necessary adjustments to ensure consistent output.
  • Clean and maintain printing equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve work performance and learn new skills.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Experience operating printing equipment (color and mono preferred)
  • Knowledge in Bindery, Die cutting, and Lamination. 
  • Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in basic computer and technology use
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of basic math, fractions, and percentages
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and visual)
  • Self-directed and motivated with a desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate with others.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to frequently lift 10-20 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for extended periods (10-12 hours)
  • Able to bend, push, and pull carts.
