Position: ECE Director

Reports to: Kid's Ministry Director

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Status: Full time


The Early Childhood Education and Children’s Ministry Provided Director operates as an integral part of the Kid’s Ministry team and oversees the staff, volunteers, and programs designed for Birth through Preschool aged children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for God, enthusiasm for reaching children for Christ, and knowledge of child development. This person must be able to create age appropriate environments for children that are safe, stimulating, and engaging.  


General Responsibilities: ECE

  • Work as part of the Kid’s Ministry team and assist with the development of a strategic vision for Kid’s Ministry.
  • Be present at all worship services and strategic special events as directed.
  • Oversee Nursery through Kindergarten programs for the Blue Oaks campus.
  • Recruit, train and develop lead volunteers for each classroom.
  • Schedule all volunteers for weekend services.
  • Develop and maintain a system of support and training for all volunteers.
  • Create safe, high energy, creative environments that engage children.
  • Ensure classrooms are regularly cleaned,organized, and stocked with age-appropriate toys and materials.
  • Work with Kid’s Director to ensure programs are completed within budget.
  • Develop forms of regular parent communication, using electronic and social media.
  • Commit to ongoing leadership and ministry learning.
  • Oversee planning for Child Dedication weekends.
  • Develop a follow up plan for families who have gone through Child Dedications at Bayside.Work with Kid’s Director to develop annual ministry and personal development goals.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Kid’s Ministry Director.

Other Duties:

  • Attend all Blue Oaks and All-Staff/All-Campus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 to 5 years in related field
  • Proficient in using modern technology tools, with a solid understanding of basic computer operations and the ability to quickly learn new applications and systems.
