About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Associate, Operations-Finance to join our Kentucky team. This role is critical in supporting operational due diligence, financial analysis, and value creation across our portfolio companies. Reporting to the Managing Director of Operations, you will work closely with investment and operating teams to drive performance improvements and ensure strategic initiatives are executed effectively.

What You'll Do:

Due Diligence & Investment Support

• Conduct plant visits, assess management team capabilities, and summarize key findings
• Engage third-party diligence providers to analyze IT systems, product profitability, and financial performance
• Develop pre- and post-diligence Equity Value Creation Plans (EVCP) and collaborate with investment teams to quantify initiatives

Portfolio Company Management

• Track financial performance, monitor variances, and identify trends to improve operations
• Work with portfolio company leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and board presentations
• Support the implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting templates
• Oversee third-party providers and interim resources as needed

Execution & Accountability

• Ensure accurate financial modeling and analysis to support strategic decisions
• Maintain clear communication with portfolio company CFOs and leadership teams
• Support board meeting preparation, executive bonus program analysis, and compliance tracking

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or Business Administration
• 6-8 years of experience in operations accounting, finance, or related field; advanced degree a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to create clear, concise financial reports
• Experience in business forecasting, trend analysis, and process improvement
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with senior leadership and stakeholders
