Position Summary: The Corporate Partnership Manager serves a vital role in partner acquisition leading to new revenue sources through strategizing, outreach, initiation and management of new partnerships with businesses and corporations that have an interest in supporting the mission of United Food Bank. This role emphasizes developing a portfolio of new major corporate sponsors, with activations ranging from annual sponsorship commitments to one-time donation events. The Corporate Partnership Manager will also play a key role in activating national cause marketing campaigns at the local level, in alignment with Feeding America initiatives, including collaborative efforts for recognition and next-level engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
1. Strategic Development & Prospecting:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to identify, qualify, and secure new corporate partners.
- Conduct research and outreach to cultivate relationships with prospective corporate donors.
2. Corporate Partner Stewardship:
- Manage and steward a portfolio of corporate partners, ensuring high-quality experiences through customized engagement plans, regular touchpoints, and impact reporting.
- Conduct presentations to corporate groups to secure sponsorships, employee giving commitments, and other partnership opportunities.
3. Cause Marketing Activation:
- Implement and activate national cause marketing campaigns at the local level in collaboration with the community engagement team.
4. Sponsorship Management:
- Secure sponsorships for key events, ensuring partners receive exceptional experiences and understand the impact of their engagement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and finalize sponsorship materials and ensure alignment with organizational branding.
5. Reporting & Analysis:
- Track and report on partnership progress, providing regular updates to the Director of Community Engagement.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of partner activities, interactions, and opportunities in Salesforce.
6. Stewardship & Recognition:
- Share impact reports and year-end reports with corporate partners to showcase the value of their support.
- Regularly gather feedback and ensure continuous improvement in partner engagement.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, to develop collateral and communication materials that support corporate partnerships.
8. Other Duties as Assigned:
- Participate in team meetings and organization-wide initiatives.
- Maintain donor confidentiality in compliance with United Food Bank policies.
- Passion for alleviating hunger and aligned with our mission and values
- Bachelor’s degree in business development or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 2+ years of experience in corporate partnerships, business development, or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic plans.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM software is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
