• Manage relationships with AMCs, negotiating service agreements and monitoring performance.
• Ensure appraisal reports align with Non-QM lending guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with underwriters, account executives, and operations teams to facilitate seamless appraisal workflows.
• Address and resolve escalations, disputes, or service issues with AMCs and appraisers.
• Develop and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
• Monitor and analyze appraisal-related metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Train, mentor, and support appraisal desk team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Stay informed on industry regulations, valuation independence requirements, and Non-QM appraisal trends.
• Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and risk mitigation.
• 3+ years of experience in mortgage appraisal operations, vendor management, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of Non-QM loan products, appraisal regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing AMCs and vendor relationships in a mortgage lending environment.
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in appraisal management software and loan origination systems (LOS).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
