Job Summary:

You are the most important individual to create a successful kitchen. You clean and sanitize all china, glassware, and food storage receptacles. You restock plates and equipment in their respective “homes” to facilitate a fluid kitchen environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be on time and ready to work
  • Maintain and clean all china, glass, and silverware
  • Place all cookware, china, glass, and silverware in proper storage spaces
  • Organization and cleanliness of the space and dish machine over the entire shift. This includes chemical levels, de-scale, and general cleaning
  • Remove all linen and garbage, replace the bags, and clean trash cans inside and out
  • Take out all compost bins, Soilutions, and beverage spill buckets at the end of every shift
  • Sweep and mop as needed during shift to maintain a safe, non-slip floor and during the close down of the stations
  • Buff all China so it is ready for service
  • Clean all windows inside and out in the kitchen spaces
  • All sinks are washed out and dried as needed
  • Clean hoods, ovens, and stoves
  • Report any problems with equipment to the direct supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mop/broom closets
  • Make time to help in other areas of the kitchen, i.e., dish pick-ups and restocks
  • Break down boxes for recycling and take any recycling out
  • Work clean and maintain your space

Essential Job Functions:

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Sort and remove the trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Sweep or scrub floors
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate must possess experience in a kitchen environment and a farm-to-fork background
  • Organized with an attention to detail, being self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the desire to be consistent
  • Able to work in a high-stress environment
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, and walk 8 to 10 hours a day
  • Able to grasp, lift, carry. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in short intervals throughout the day
  • Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
