Location: Tucson, AZ

Compensation: $14.70 - $16.00 per hour

Job Summary: Old Tucson Entertainment is looking for devoted and enthusiastic Kitchen staff who will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of dishes, workstations and food storage facilities, and provide assistance with the preparation of food. A qualified candidate should be reliable, proficient, and observant with excellent communication and time management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, workstations, cooking equipment, and food storage areas in compliance with food safety regulations. 
  • Prepare customer food orders using various kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, fryers, meat slicers, and food processors. 
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, including starting equipment and cleaning refrigeration units, grills, and other kitchen equipment. 
  • Maintain kitchen organization and sanitation to meet Health Department regulations. 
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the Food Service Supervisor. 
  • Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients throughout the shift. 
  • Assist with unloading and storing food deliveries according to food safety standards.
  • Monitor menu inventory and notify the Kitchen Lead or Food Service Supervisor of any shortages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills & Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in back of house kitchen positions preferred 
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety procedures preferred
  • Ability to work as a team 
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Work Environment:

  • Time spent in a kitchen environment 
  • Ability to pull, push, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays (required)
