Position Overview:
As the Assistant Fulfillment Manager (ASM), you will lead and coach a team of 150+ employees while adopting and implementing new technologies. A key responsibility of this role is guiding the successful rollout of a new warehouse management system by training employees and fostering team engagement throughout the transition.

Build a Dream Team
- Attract warm, fun, driven, and detail-oriented individuals to work in the warehouse.
- Support the Fulfillment Manager and collaborate with other departmental Assistant Managers in Occasionally interviewing potential part-time Fulfillment Specialist candidates.
- Lead and support all new hire job training for the E-commerce Fulfillment team.
Daily Leadership of Fulfillment Team
- Oversee team productivity by regularly checking Veeqo to ensure efficient operations and workflow.
- Work closely with the Senior Fulfillment Manager, the other department Assistant Fulfillment Managers, full-time leads, and part-time floor leads to guide and support the team in ensuring smooth and effective day-to-day activities.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained to meet operational needs.
- Evaluate scheduling gaps and recommend hiring needs based on workload and employee availability.
- Assist in the recruiting process, including interviewing potential candidates.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring completion of all required paperwork and scheduled training time.
- Help resolve any shipment or technology issues the fulfillment team may encounter.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment by providing assistance and fostering positive relationships with all team members.
- Observe and coach behavioral opportunities and provide courageous feedback.
- Provide mentorship and ongoing training/coaching to the Fulfillment Team.
- Maintain strong communication with the Care team to solve problems with orders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monthly Tasks
- Collaborate with the Senior Fulfillment Manager to understand monthly picking and shipping goals and plan for the month ahead.
- Coordinate with the other department assistant manager to ensure proper staffing for upcoming sales.
- Lead monthly meetings with the other Assistant Fulfillment Managers.
- Conduct quarterly touch bases with leads and team members as needed.
Weekly Tasks
- Order supplies for the team, ensuring adequate inventory for the following week, taking high-volume sales and holidays into account.
- Attend weekly manager meetings.
Daily Management
- Work with the Care team to resolve customer and one-off issues, including return to sender, military addresses, company merchandise, and gift cards.
- Engage in on-the-floor coaching conversations with floor leads and team members to ensure continuous team movement.
- Set picking and shipping goals and ensure these goals are met during peak times or sales.
- Coordinate real-time solutions to fill gaps, such as arranging replacements or adjusting shifts.
- Assist with training new hires.
- Keep the team updated on any changes, whether daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Process employee purchases.
Data Management and Reporting
- Be proficient in Veeqo, the main shipping platform for the warehouse.
- Be open to any technology changes as the warehouse transitions to a Warehouse Management System in 2025.
Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for all team-related inquiries.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with employees, managers, and HR.
Schedule Requirements
- 38-40 hour work week
- One closing shift per week
- 2 weekend shifts a month
Qualifications:
- Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- The Warehouse is open 7:00am-9:00pm Monday-Sunday (availability for evenings/weekends is required)
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, climb a ladder, and reach during shifts

Compensation: $24.32 per hour + Quarterly Bonus
