Job Title: Seasonal Boat Program Manager
Department: Outdoor Adventures
Status: Seasonal FT
Reporting To: Director of Outdoor Adventures
Position Summary:
Our Seasonal Boat Program Manager position oversees the daily operations of our wakesurfing boat and operation at Pineview Reservoir for our Powder Haven membership. This position coordinates staffing, lesson requests and daily operations associated with our mechanized boat program.
Job Performance Expectations:
- Ensure wakesurfing boat and equipment is maintained to the highest standards
- Be able to effectively teach members and guests how to wakesurf
- Provide training to other staff on how to wakesurf
- Staff, train and support the boat program team in daily operations
- Order and maintain any required equipment associated with wakesurfing
- Coordinate maintenance needs
- Interact directly with membership for program booking, feedback and requests
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior knowledge and experience operating wake surfing programs
- Utah Captain and Guide License
- Knowledge of Utah and USFS boating laws and regulations
Physical Requirements - Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:
- Rigging and derigging of wakesurf equipment
- Work in adverse weather conditions
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking and operating boat and equipment
- Consistent walking through wet, uneven terrain
- Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
- Safely handle fueling
Working Environment:
Applicants must be comfortable in and around boats, lakes and inclement weather ranging from extreme high temperatures to wind, rain and hail. This position will be based primarily out of our lake property but is expected to be available and accessible to monitor boating, handle boat operations and lead staff in wakesurfing operations.
