Lyons Magnus is seeking a Beverage Service Technician in the Chesapeake, Virginia area.
The Beverage Service Technician is a field service position in the Dispensed Beverage Operations Department at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The primary responsibilities of the Beverage Service Technician will be to support the implementation of Lyons dispensed beverage equipment strategies.
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
Schedule: Monday-Friday (OT and weekends may be required)
Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
Core Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair beverage dispensing equipment of all types.
- Execute all established protocols for record keeping and documentation of all activities associated with the performance of these duties.
- Keep company provided service vehicle maintained, organized, and stocked with sufficient repair parts.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with customers on behalf of Lyons Magnus.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in basic electrical, light plumbing, and possess general mechanical abilities.
- The ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment programs coupled with the capability to make prudent decisions while at dispensed beverage installations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidate must possess the physical strength and dexterity necessary to independently complete all tasks related to beverage equipment service and maintenance.
- Occasional weekend and overnight travel may be required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive experience with the installation, ongoing service, removal, and refurbishment of beverage dispensing equipment with an emphasis on cold beverage equipment.
- Proven ability to effectively manage in-house and field service work to meet customer needs and company deadlines.
- Ability to effectively manage equipment and parts inventories including monitoring, tracking, and reordering utilizing set processes.
- Demonstrated computer skills with the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Demonstrated organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education and/or Experience:
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- College coursework or associate degree, bachelor’s degree not required but a plus.
- A minimum of one year of experience in the foodservice industry with specific emphasis on dispensed beverage programs.
