Description


I. INTRODUCTION

a. This is an enterprise-level position at Raleigh Radiology in Raleigh, NC, supporting all entities and free-standing outpatient imaging centers. The Business Analyst position is a LOCAL/HYBRID in-person position. Business Analyst will be required to report in person to our Business Support Service office located at 5220 Greens Dairy Road, Raleigh, NC 27616.

b. The primary function of the Business Analyst is to collaborate with the Associate Director of Finance, Senior Leadership Team, and business stakeholders to analyze key financial, operational, and market data to optimize business processes and provide strategic recommendations. 

c.  This role requires expertise in financial analysis, data analytics, market research, process improvement, and business intelligence to drive growth, efficiency, and competitive positioning within the organization.


II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  

A. Financial & Business Analysis

  • Conduct financial analysis and develop models for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Analyze business performance data and provide insights on key financial KPIs.
  • Create advanced reports and data visualizations.

B. Performance Monitoring & Reporting 

  • Develop executive-level reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Establish and track KPIs for business performance.
  • Present findings to senior leadership.

C. Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence 

  • Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking.
  • Assess patient demand and service line growth opportunities.
  • Identify business development opportunities.

D. Requirement Gathering & Stakeholder Collaboration 

  • Work with finance and operations to define business needs.
  • Facilitate meetings and gather requirements for improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and operations.

E. Process Improvement & Optimization 

  • Streamline financial workflows and operational procedures.
  • Document process models and identify automation opportunities.
  • Support contract management.

F. Project Management & Strategy Execution 

  • Lead and support business intelligence and process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress and contribute to strategic initiatives.

G. Testing & Validation

  • Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure data accuracy. Resolve discrepancies in financial and operational data.

H. Other Duties as Assigned

  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for continuous improvement.



Requirements

Education:

1.  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field required.

2.  Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) preferred.


Experience:

1.  Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, market analysis, data analytics, or a related 

     field, preferably within a healthcare or radiology environment.

2.  Strong experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue cycle analysis.

3.  Expertise in data visualization tools ( such as PowerBI, Tableau, Excel) PowerPoint, and data dashboards.

4.  Proven track record of supporting market analysis, competitive intelligence, and business expansion initiatives.

5.  Familiarity with healthcare finance, payer reimbursement preferred.

6.  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

7.  Knowledge of contract management and healthcare finance is a plus.
