Summary of Position:

Develop and expand existing and new accounts within assigned territory. Personally contact and secure new accounts by making outbound calls on business leads, turning prospects into new customers, servicing and retaining existing volume while introducing and selling new products within assigned territory. The position may specialize in the restaurant and/or institutional market or the custom label industry.  


Requirements

Essential Duties:

  • Primary responsibility is making outbound calls to establish new customers.
  • Contact and secure new business:
  • Contact with authorized buyers, primarily by phone and authorized literature fulfillment.
  • Follow up on all leads in assigned territory in a timely basis.
  • Turn prospect database according to schedule assigned.
  • Generate new leads for new accounts via the Web, market literature, etc.
  • Send samples / literature as needed and follow up with the customer afterwards. 
  • Provide live customer demonstrations as needed through our online resources. 
  • Enter orders and quotes and other required paperwork with complete and accurate information.
  • Keep customer information current in our CRM. 
  • Responsible for following our department processes for a full and successful implementation.
  • Provide suggestions and ideas to management on additional or improved product offerings, marketing ideas, order processing, procedures, and important issues identified by their customer.
  • Work closely with the members of your team.
  • Will be responsible for achieving sales goals that will be given by the Supervisor.
  • All other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven sales experience.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to organize and schedule one's work and the self-motivation to diligently perform it with little supervision.
  • Service oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Pleasant phone voice
  • Good computer skills, including knowledge of excel, word, etc.
  • Knowledge of Outlook
  • Knowledge of features, benefits and use of products.
  • Knowledge of selling techniques and ability to close sales.
  • Has a willingness to learn and adapt to a forever changing business model based on voice of customer needs and/or priorities.

Training and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent minimum
  • 4+ years of experience as a sales rep with CMC, or equivalent experience with another comparable label company.

Physical Requirements:

  • Reaching for phone and keyboard
  • Fingering, grasping and feeling.
  • Talking, hearing and repetitive motion
  • Sedentary work-exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
  • Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
