Position: EDI Manager
Position reports to the Director of Vendor Operations

Position Overview
The EDI Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's electronic data interchange (EDI) operations. This role includes leading the implementation of the company’s EDI system and ensuring smooth order flows into the Oracle NetSuite ERP. The EDI Manager will have experience onboarding customers and partners to the EDI platform, collaborating closely with internal IT teams to manage onboarding processes and drive ERP integration enhancements. Additionally, the EDI Manager will coordinate test activities, validation, and go-live efforts with vendors, trading partners, and third-party certification providers. This is a remote position based in the Chicago area.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the EDI program, overseeing its development, operations, and projects while serving as the primary point of contact for all EDI-related matters.
- Analyze and resolve operational issues within EDI, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure streamlined, efficient processes.
- Support and troubleshoot EDI-related business processes and data, proactively identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Manage project timelines for revenue cycle initiatives, ensuring all deadlines are met and projects are delivered on schedule.
- Conduct testing and data validation in alignment with project timelines, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive EDI documentation, including field mapping specifications, to ensure clarity, accuracy, and standardization.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding, gathering enhancement requirements, overseeing testing, and managing seamless go-live transitions.
- Participate in project planning by defining milestones, setting timelines, and leading the EDI team to ensure efficient execution of all tasks.
- Establish and maintain documentation standards for the EDI team, ensuring that all materials remain up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience managing the full revenue cycle EDI process.
- Proven experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP, ensuring seamless integration with EDI systems.
- Extensive expertise with EDI documents including 810, 812, 840, 843, 850, 855, 856, 860, and 864, preferably within the retail industry.
- Hands-on experience coordinating with customers during the setup, testing, and implementation phases of EDI deployments to ensure successful go-lives.
- Strong understanding of organizational goals and the ability to align EDI processes to support business objectives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to research, analyze, and resolve EDI-related issues in a timely manner.
- Strong presentation skills, capable of delivering clear, concise ideas in a business setting.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects forward.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting EDI data formats and structures, including X12, EDIFACT, XML, and flat files.
