Mechanical Engineer
Description

The Role:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will use your knowledge of mechanical engineering and CAD skills to work in new product development projects, and sustainment engineering for active products. You will work together with experienced mechanical engineers to develop state-of-the-art battery storage inverters. The location of the position can be in Poway, California, or in Helsinki, Finland.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizing, designing, building, testing, analyzing, and troubleshooting mechanical designs for our products,
  • Developing testing processes and performing testing and validation of the designs,
  • Developing reliable solutions to design issues that impact manufacturing success,
  • Creating, modifying, and reviewing 3D models and drawings using Creo Parametric CAD software,
  • Performing engineering calculations to support design work,
  • Collaborating with cross-functional and interdepartmental teams,
  • Other duties and responsibilities within the scope of the role, as needed or assigned.
Requirements

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field,
  • Firm grasp of engineering concepts, theories and processes,
  • Good technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability,
  • Good skills in mechanical CAD software, preferably Creo Parametric,
  • As an advantage, experience in Engineering Change Management process and PLM/PDM systems, preferably Windchill.

Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing industry
  • Must have at least 2 years experience using Creo, CAD, and a PLM system
Salary Description
$100,000 - $115,000
