JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Packaging Supervisor position is a full-time administrative PM shift position located at Sun-Maid’s Kingsburg facility. Responsibilities include leading cost savings, loss reduction and continuous improvement teams to reduce costs and improve equipment reliability. Additionally, this individual will have direct responsibility for approximately 8-10 packaging lines and personnel. This position reports to the Packaging Manager. 

DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED:

· Troubleshoot process and operations problems utilizing structured problem-solving techniques which reveal the root cause of the problem. 

· Manage, coach, and evaluate team members. 

· Work closely with HR for the hiring, discipline and retention of employees.

· Responsible for teaching & promoting CI activities to improve processes & eliminate waste. 

· Responsible for assisting the plant leadership team and other operations personnel in the development of procedures to maximize output, improve quality, and reduce overall cost.

· Enhance individual and team performance by creating a climate of consistent and continuous learning (promote new ideas, conduct knowledge sharing).

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Help Institutionalize 5S, CLs CILs and other CI tools as required.

· Ensure compliance with all regulatory, industry, company, or customer requirements.

REQIURED EDUCATION/SKILLS:

· Bilingual Spanish preferred.  

· This individual must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel

· This person will need to possess proven problem-solving tools/methods, goal setting, planning, and training skills.

· Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable with facilitating teams/groups. 

· Organizational respect and actively promoting a positive attitude are a must for this position.

· Perseverance and leadership to finish projects and drive for results.

· Sound, consistent decision-making ability is a must for this individual.

· Strong ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and motivate others.
