Compensation:  In accordance with the Colorado  Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary for this Colorado position is $97,000-$105,000 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess organizational performance against both historical financials and the company’s long-term strategy.
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and DCEO.
  • Make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
  • Engage the Management Team around issues, trends, and changes in the operating model(s) and operational performance.
  • Ensure that financial management systems, banking relationships (i.e., terms and conditions), credit functions, and cash management meet the company’s needs.
  • Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company’s strategic plan.
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting, developing a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash thresholds to meet operating needs.
  • Optimize the handling of banking relationships.
  • Initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions, manage the annual budgeting process, and monitor monthly performance against the budget.
  • Analyzes and project grant spending on an ongoing basis to ensure spending of grant funds meets established budgets.
  • Streamline and modify current systems within the business and administrative departments on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present program budgets and complete financial statement analysis for company profit and loss discussions.
  • Handle financial reports, general ledger, cash disbursements, cash receipts, and journal entries for Shiloh on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in preparing yearly audit schedules, audit completion, and audit review.
  • Oversee monthly payroll, including payroll tax deposits, salary payroll completion, hourly payroll review, and payroll submittal.
  • Administer and track the Shiloh 403(b) plan and prepares and facilitates the completion of the annual 403b audit.
  • Ensure that cash management policies meet the company’s needs.
  • Ensure that all financial systems, controls, and policies are in compliance with all governmental agencies and tax requirements.
  • Utilize strong leadership and interpersonal skills to improve efficiencies and effectiveness within the finance function and across the organization.
  • Provide adequate supervision of the Business Department, including assigning/reviewing tasks and conducting monthly team supervision meetings.
  • Investigate and resolve business department-related complaints, disputes, and grievances for the CEO and DCEO.
  • Meet with the CEO and DCEO for supervision on an as needed basis.
  • Provide leadership and direction regarding the development of the overall financial strategy for the company.
  • Complete all other task(s) as assigned by the supervisor(s).

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or an accounting-related field or a minimum of six years of business work experience will also be accepted.
  • Must have a strong value system and the highest level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Flexibility and ability to complete a myriad of tasks as assigned in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Must have sound knowledge in financial accounting and reporting and of the controllership function, auditing and financial systems design. 
  • Must be a mature, personable individual with significant personal presence, credibility and positive demeanor. 
  • Must have balanced financial and administrative acumen and extraordinary business judgment and insight.
  • Must have integrity, intelligence, good judgment and effective decision-making abilities as well as diligence and attention to detail.
  • Must have computer literacy and advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of operational accounting (production, revenue, capital).
  • Must have clean MVR.
  • Must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
