Summary of Position

Meridian International Center is seeking a strategic revenue and growth leader to launch and scale our suite of global education and diplomatic training programs. The Senior Director, Global Trainings & Education role will drive business development and expansion across two key areas: introducing our curriculum to educational institutions and foundation partners; and scaling our Corporate Diplomacy Global Leaders Program through enterprise partnerships and enrollment. The ideal candidate will build sustainable business models and drive revenue growth across educational institutions, Fortune 500 companies, and professionals in key sectors including science and technology. They will be adept at identifying market opportunities, structuring innovative partnerships, and driving significant revenue growth through both new and existing channels. This position is based in Washington, D.C., and Meridian requires MD, DC, or VA residence for all employees. The position may work partially remotely until further notice. 


Position Responsibilities

Strategic Business Planning

  • Create comprehensive go-to-market      strategies for educational and professional markets
  • Develop business plans and financial      models to support growth initiatives
  • Create compelling sales collateral and      marketing materials tailored to different sectors and stakeholders

Business Development, Sales & Marketing

  • Build and manage robust pipeline of      opportunities across educational institutions and corporate sectors
    • Secure and grow strategic partnerships       with: Fortune 500 companies and major corporations; Educational       institutions and student organizations; Professional associations and       industry groups; and Science and technology organizations
  • Own full-cycle enterprise sales process      from prospecting through deal closure
  • Design marketing campaigns and compelling      proposals to drive program enrollment
  • Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets      and growth metrics

Program Scaling & Innovation

  • Working closely with the global education      program team, design scalable delivery models for all program offerings      and market segments
  • Identify opportunities to productize and      scale successful pilot programs
  • Develop pricing and scalable business      models for new program offerings including revenue-sharing frameworks

Requirements

 Education/Experience

  • 10+ years in business development,      partnership, or sales roles in education/training sector
  • Proven track record hitting ambitious      revenue targets ($5M+ annually)
  • Experience launching and scaling      educational or professional development programs or other business      initiatives
  • Success marketing to and closing C-suite      and senior decision makers
  • Experience working with educational      institutions or industry groups
  • Strong track record in enterprise sales      and partnership structuring
  • Experience developing go-to-market      strategies and business plans
  • Knowledge of best practices in executive      leadership development and adult learning methodologies is a plus
  • Or any equivalent combination of      education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to      perform the essential functions of the position.
