SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The primary role of this position is to ensure a defect free product, based on the AQL samples and inspection procedures set by US Conec. Responsible for auditing and inspecting work done by production assemblers on small parts of various materials such as plastic, metal, or rubber, to produce small subassemblies for various industries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
• Inspects quality of finished production kits and documentation of disposition.
• Follows all AQL standards.
• Follows quality inspection procedures.
• Changes kit status in database.
• Learns the defects of the parts and the tolerance levels to disposition acceptable/unacceptable parts.
• Notifies lead of quality concerns.
• Prioritizes work such as expedites and same day shipping.
• Works at a steady pace without sacrificing quality.
• Logs production scrap and extra parts in scrap tracker and extra parts tracker.
• Adds kit audit information to audit tracker.
• Transports audited kits to finish goods.
EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing software; Microsoft Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Database software.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
